This is dependent on a couple of factors. Including if the treatment is preventive, or if your home has a serve infestation for example. The type of pest as well as the house’s construction type are also factors. In general:
- Preventative treatments do not require you to leave your property.
- Severe pest issue will typically require you to leave, with the exact duration of time (typically a few hours) dependent on the treatment type.
As a general rule no. We will advise of any health risks to you, your family and/or pets. Our treatment options are carefully selected to provide a targeted effect, typically most treatment options are tailored to the type of pest, meaning that household animals are not impacted.
The long term benefits of pest management are dependent on the nature of the pest issue as well as several environmental factors. Some pests for example have extended life cycles that require 2-3 treatments. While other factors such as limiting food sources and creating buffers between your house and garden can have positive impacts. We recommend that preventative treatment be done in addition to resolving the immediate pest issue when possible, such as limiting entry points into your home.
